Dennis Gerschick
is the founder and CEO of Gerschick Wealth Management, LLC. He has advanced knowledge
and practical experience in many business and personal advisory roles. Mr. Gerschick’s
unique background as a Chartered Financial Analyst, CPA, PFS, Attorney, and Venture
Capitalist has given him the ability to see the “big picture” and understand how
the legal, tax, financial, and practical issues affect each other. He views complex
issues and problems from a variety of perspectives. Mr. Gerschick uses his accumulated
knowledge and experience to help his clients address their personal needs, and concerns
while achieving financial goals.
After earning an accounting degree from Florida Atlantic University, he passed all
four parts of the May, 1978 CPA exam on his first attempt, with only 6% doing so.
Before entering law school, Mr. Gerschick worked as a CPA with Ernst & Young,
one of the Big 4 accounting firms, in its West Palm Beach, Florida office, advising
wealthy clients from the surrounding areas of Palm Beach, Jupiter Island, and Boca
Raton, how to minimize taxes, and the tax consequences of their investments.
After graduating from Drake University Law School in 1983, Mr. Gerschick worked in
the tax department of one of Atlanta's oldest and largest law firms, Powell, Goldstein,
LLP, which has since merged with Bryan Cave, LLP. During his time at the firm, he
was involved in a wide variety of real estate and business transactions.
In 1990, he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. The CFA program
is a three year program of study, and it requires the candidate to pass three rigorous
levels of examination. The CFA designation is the premiere designation in the field
of investment management. Mr. Gerschick also earned the Personal Financial Specialist
(PFS) designation from the American Institute of CPAs.
That same year, Mr. Gerschick started his own law firm. His practice focused on representing
closely-held businesses and their owners. He has extensive experience in estate planning
and personal tax matters. Mr. Gerschick went beyond advising his clients strictly
on legal matters and was able to act as a business and financial advisor. Since 1999,
he has served as President of VenCap Advisory Group, Inc, the sole general partner
of VenCap Opportunities Fund, L.P., a venture capital fund.
Mr. Gerschick also founded Regal Seminars™, speaking to audiences throughout the
world on a variety of business, investment, legal, and tax topics. He has chaired

Management” and “Leveraged Buyouts” and has twice spoken at the annual Corporate
Litigation Seminar on "Using Financial Statements in the Courtroom." Mr.
Gerschick continues to deliver high quality seminar topics to a variety of professional
institutes and associations as the featured presenter each year. Among these, The
Institute of Continuing Judicial Education in Georgia where he educates judges about
accounting, financial statements, and forensic accounting, and The CFA Institute
where he has delivered a series on the topic of “Investing in a Private Company.”
Mr. Gerschick has served on the American Institute of CPA’s Business Valuation Subcommittee
with other recognized experts in the business valuation area. He has written numerous
articles, published in magazines such as eeeluminator, and periodicals of
